The land of the living.

That’s where my daughter is.

That’s where she is breathing, where she is smiling, where she is crying.

That’s where she lost her mother, twice. That’s where she is fighting to get over it, to get better. To live again, in the land of the living, amongst the other living people. With people who breathe, who smile, who cry. People who are not me.

Because someone decided it is not my place anymore. Someone who was not me, either.

I would never have quit the land of the living. Not while my little girl’s there.
